We have\u00a0many reasons, of course, to do what we do. But\u00a0we often talk about wanting to leave the world a better place for future generations. This is, indeed, a grand aspiration. I hold it too.<\/p>\n

In the\u00a0close-up fabric of my\u00a0life, however, these “future generations’ are embodied, tangibly, in\u00a0my grandkids. I’m lucky enough to share\u00a0two \u2013 Livia and Henry \u2013 with quite a handful of other grandparents. A few moments from the past few years\u00a0reinforce Grandma Anne’s\u00a0commitment to working for a better future.<\/p>\n
